What’s crackin’ y’all! During these gloomy times when no ordinary Chalmers Championships can be arranged, CIS has decided to try and help student division members keep their motivation to exercise intact by arranging the Chalmers Championship in virtual exercise. We in frITid hope that many of you are excited to participate to win a supercalifragilisticexpialidocious prize for the IT student division. To join the challenge, you need to download and register an account in the app Strava and then join IT’s club: IT-Chalmers. That being done, you are free to exercise on your own so that we can beat all other student divisions together! More information and rules from CIS can be found in the description below. Now it’s time to once and for all show that IT is the superior student division in all ways possible; even exercise!
So, make sure to download the Strava app and rest yourselves until the 1st of December when the competition commences
Competition rules:
There will be two categories to compete in:
- Chalmers Championship in virtual exercise goes to the student division that exercises the most hours in total.
- The Commitment Prize goes to the student division that engages the largest proportion of their students measured with the equation: Exercise hours * Total registered athletes/Total students in the student division.
- Prizes will be rewarded to the two student divisions that gather the most hours in both categories during the period 1 December 2020 - 28 February 2021.
- Participants can exercise in any way they want as long as the exercise hours are measurable in Strava. So you can run, walk, cycle, swim, etc.
- The CIS board is the sole judge in the competition.
- Results will be picked out by the CIS Board every Sunday after 21:00 (This is because the Strava app changes the clubs' statistics every Sunday at 23:59)
- To follow FHM's recommendations, all training in this competition must take place individually and in places without crowding. For example, the student division’s sports committee may not gather groups to earn hours.
- Each student division may register one Strava club each.
- Participants may only join one of the student division’s clubs. If participants join more clubs, results will be recorded in each one.
It is going to be fun, but above all... amusing!
