We are now opening our popular summer internship program for 2022. The program is open to students enrolled in a computer science program at one of the universities in Gothenburg.

Opera is building a new gaming platform that will reach our millions of daily browser users. Together with our sister company Yoyo Games and our gaming browser team (Opera GX) we bring user generated multiplayer games to the masses straight in the browser through cutting edge technology.

This is an opportunity to join one of our teams; front-end (TypeScript), backend (Java), multiplayer (C++), dev-ops (AWS) in Gothenburg for an exciting summer to build the next big thing. Our office has a unicorn track-record and we have our aim set high for 2022. As a summer intern you will get to work as part of the larger product team; surrounded by supportive and experienced colleagues that have a curiosity for both technology and the product domain we work in. Our team enjoys a lot of independence to build products that address real needs for millions of people.

The Gothenburg office has a relaxed, casual and fun atmosphere with Friday beers, board game evenings, great comradery and above all, a lot of laughs. Here there is time for both socialization and play, but also plenty of opportunities to learn new things, take responsibility, develop as a professional and contribute to our exciting products.
