The protocol from the meeting can be found here, the document is in Swedish.
It´s taken a long time which we apologise for. Information about what consequences there will be because of how late the protocol is will be given during the student division meeting in LP4.

During the meeting a new MRCIT, ArmIT, and DigIT was elected. The meeting also voted yes to a proposition about introducing a data controller to ensure that we are following GDPR, a motion about allowing an equality group to be associated with the student division, and a motion about introducing personuppgiftsombud to ensure that we are following GDPR.

All other protocols can be found here.

Student Barometer

Hello, samo here! I hope you all had a good time during the holidays, and that your exams went well.

I would like to remind you to fill in Chalmers' survey about the study and work environment that should have been sent to your student mails if you have not already done so. This survey will be used during the Psycho-social safety inspection later this year.

This survey is on of the most important tools we have in order to show the university that there exists problems that they need to work with, and your responses are extremely important. As an example, the responses from last year's survey were used in the student union's work with sexism and sexual harassment during the last study period.

I would also like to remind you of the survey from the equality group of the software engineering student division. It is more focused on if there are any problems specifically here at our student division.

You can find more information about the equality group here:
https://www.facebook.com/equalITCTH/

And the survey here:

Thank you very much!

Gender equality group on the software engineering programme

0 | 1 November | Permalink | Written for styrIT by Tandlös

Hi all students on the software engineering programme!

As you are all probably aware of both the education on Chalmers and the work as a software engineer have problems with gender equality. All of us in the student division board takes this matter very seriously, and because of this we are currently looking for students who want to help us with our work in this field.

Our idea is to start a gender equality group similar to the on the Architecture Student Section (http://www.a-sektionen.se/utskott/genusgruppen/) but it is entirely up to the students who wishes to get involved what they’ll choose to do.

We can offer the freedom to work in whatever way you wish, contact with other people who work with similar questions on chalmers, the full support of the student division board, funding to realise your ideas, and perhaps most importantly an opportunity to change things for the better.

If you think this sounds interesting you can contact us on styrit@chalmers.it, SAMO on samo@chalmers.it, and join the slack channel #jämlikhetsgrupp

Thank you for your time and take care!

The seminar will be held in Swedish

The student safety and welfare representative invites you all to attend a lunch seminar with Akademihälsan the the 26/9 in HC1.

Many of the students of the Software engineering programme spend quite some time in front of screens of some kind, and there is a fairly high probability that you will continue to do so during your studies and during your future careers. Akademihälsan will give tips about how to plan your workspace and the way you work to minimize the risk of injuries.

And we will also serve lunch to the first 100 students!

Looking for students for that wants to help test systems for digital exams

0 | 28 May | Permalink | Written for snIT by Tandlös

Hello,

Now that the exam week is here it could be nice to take a break once in a while and do something else, such as trying out systems for digital exams...

Anyways, Chalmers is looking into systems for digital exams, and they need students to test them. They'd prefer it if you tested 1-2 systems. The tests should take approximately 30 minutes each and will be held the 29/5 - 2/6. They can be done anywhere as long as you have a computer.

Sign up here

Good luck with whatever you'll be doing in the next week, and take care.

Nominations to Chalmers' Pedagogical Prize

0 | 4 April | Permalink | Written for snIT by Tandlös

We are not the only ones who award pedagogical prizes to those who do make great pedagogical contributions for the students. Every year since 2006, Chalmers has awarded a pedagogical prize to encourage and draw attention to good pedagogical examples in higher education.

The prize money of 100 000 kr is usually split between three winners, and it is now possible to send in nominations.

You can find more information here

Nominations to the Pedagogical Prize

0 | 3 April | Permalink | Written for snIT by Tandlös

Each year the student division and the Program board awards the Pedagogical Prize to the person who has done the most in the form of pedagogical contributions during the past year. The pedagogical prize includes, apart from the great honor of receiving it, the ticket price for the evening and a substantial check. We need your help in this matter! Send us your nomination for the person you think is worthy of the price. It can be a teacher, student or anything inbetween that you feel has made a large pedagogical contribution during the calendar year 2017 (VT17/HT17). The winner will be chosen among the nominees by a jury that snIT will compose, and the winner will be announced during a glamorous dinner party.
