Hello all 8-bITers!

We are now approaching the annual meeting of 8-bIT which will be held on the 18/5 in Hubben 2.2 at Hörsalsvägen 9 and we aim to start the meeting at 15:01.

At the annual meeting, we will review the operating year that has passed, plan for the next year and also elect a new board! In addition to this, we will discuss any motions that we have received. If you have a motion that you want to present for 8-bIT at the meeting, you can send it to 8-bit@chalmers.it. Remember that the last day to submit a motion is 17/5, the day before the annual meeting.

Hello! The time has come for interviews of you are looking to apply for the committees ArmIT, digIT and FlashIT.

You need to have an interview if you are to be nominated by the nomination committee, or if you wish to want to be nominated as President or Treasurer. You can still nominate yourself should you choose, however.

Important to know is that you do not have to go to an interview to be elected. You can always nominate yourself at the student division meeting, even if you don't get nominated by the election committee! If you are interested in being either chairman or treasurer you do however either have to go to an interview or tell the election committee before the student division meeting that you are interested in being chairman or treasurer.

Soon the first aspiration of the year will start, so here comes some information about what aspiration at Chalmers works. All committees and societies at Chalmers have so-called “aspiration” where you as a Chalmers student may try out what the committee or society is doing, in order to find new members. During the aspiration period, you will have TONS of fun and get to know lots of new people.

You as a student who want to apply for a committee at the Software Engineering Student Division (IT) may nominate yourself at the student division meeting in study week 6, or get nominated by us in the election committee.
