The IT Student Division Equality Survey 2022 is now released! The survey is made by EqualIT, the equality committee of the division. It aims to examine the equality situation in the section. As thanks for your participation, we are raffling off 10 gift cards at Store at SEK 200 /pc among the respondents.
The answers will be used to plan the future work of EqualIT. The questions deal with your experience of the premises, group work and group dynamics, assessment, scheduling and student division events.
The survey concerns your experience at the Software Engineering (IT) student division and in the studies at the programme. It takes about 20 minutes to complete. We would be very grateful if you could spend that time. Your participation really helps us with our future work.
Thank you for your participation and good luck in the draw!
Hello!

Hey! FlashIT is considering holding a resume photo studio sometime before New Year. But first we want to see if there is any interest for this. If you would like for FlashIT to take your CV photo, please fill out this (non-binding!) survey: https://forms.gle/r8PbhcCqQ2TXonWZ6
Hello!
We have seen that there is an interest for resume portrait photography at IT, and so we want to inform about our participation in DatE-IT.
Now on Thursday, the DatE-IT fair is held in the SB building. During the fair, FlashIT and DFoto will have a studio set up where visitors can have their portraits taken. Winter and the period for summer job applications are fast approaching, so take the opportunity to secure your resume photo now on Thursday!
Hello friends!
Now the studies have returned more or less in site at Chalmers. Our friends in the Equality Committee in the Union, JämK, want to hear more about how you experienced the remote education.
Fill in the survey here.
Take care!

Tomorrow is the Day of the Cinnamon Bun. To celebrate, Hoidi, Paint and Jonas will be giving och free cinnamon buns in Hubben 2.1 at lunch time.
See you there!
On saturday, the 2nd of October, there is a pride parade in Gothenburg. As usual it is arranged by West Pride, and as usual Chalmers has its own section of the parade. Are you excited to march the parade with other students, alumni and staff from Chalmers? Check out JämKs Facebook event for more information.

We are now moving from Facebook to our own website (https://flashit.chalmers.it/)! This is to protect the privacy of students. The website contains all the albums from our Facebook and photos we took during this year. In the future, we will only post pictures on the website, but the albums on Facebook will remain for the time being.
Hey! The "aspning" for LP3 will start soon. Here is some information on what "aspning" is, which committees hold "aspning" and how to proceed to participate!
What is "aspning"?
It is a period when people who are interested in joining a committee get to test the committee's work and get the chance to meet and get to know the current committee and other aspar (aspar = aspiring, the students who participate in "aspning"). It is a period of about a month when different committees organize fun and interesting events!
You do not have to apply to a committee just because you participate in "aspning" (but if you want to apply, you should participate, to get to know other the work and other applicants).
Aspning LP3
ArmIT, DigIT and FlashIT organize aspning LP3 (information about the various committees can be found at chalmers.it/pages). Each committee has about 1 event per week. There is no overlap, so if you want to participate in "aspning" with more than one committee, you can. Schedules will be posted in the committees' Slack channels below.
It starts this week and will be held online. Below is information on when the committees have their kickoffs and which Slack channel you can join (further information regarding kickoffs and events will be in the channels):
FlashIT
Kickoff Wednesday 20/1
#flashit-aspning-2021
ArmIT
Kickoff Thursday 21/1
#aspa-armit2021
DigIT
Kickoff Friday 22/1
#aspa-digit
If you are a master student (from a different bachelor programme) and are interested in participating, please contact me on e-mail: schaffh@chalmers.it. The slack channels are in the IT workspace which master students who didn't attend the Software Engineering bachelor don't have access too.
At FlashIT's meeting, it was decided to close the association on Friday 2020-10-09. This was decided because the association's board considers that FlashIT's work is useful for the IT-section (more than it is for the public) and thus would be better suited as a committee under the IT-section (see FlashIT's motion to the section meeting).
Preliminary agenda:
The opening of the meeting
Eligibility of the meeting
Election of the chairman of the meeting
Other questions
tldr: Hubben will be closed tomorrow (25/6). Please don't sit on the couches the day after (26/6).
Tomorrow (25/6) from 07:00 to late the couches in Hubben will be cleaned by a company on site.
This means that the main area of Hubben will be closed for students all day. It will be noisy, so we wouldn't recommend sitting in the study room or group room.
The couches need at least 24 hours to dry. The first days the couches will be very sensitive and they will easily stain (they may even get stains from just touching), so we would appreciate if you try to avoid using them for the first few days <3
Do you like photographing - or being photographed?
Then you're very welcome to attend FlashITs startup meeting on the 24th of February in EG-3215!
Come and talk to us about photography and ideas for photo outings, or just come and hang out with us. Drop in between 17:00-20:00!
PS: To like modeling or to want to join a photo outing to get some cool Instagram pictures is not narcissistic but very appreciated by people who enjoy photographing people :)
