As a participant in the mentorship program, there are four meetings, both in person in Stockholm and digitally. Participants will also have the opportunity to spend time with their mentor during the meetings and the chance to network within the professional world as well as with other students.

What's a trainee anyway?
As a trainee you are enrolled in a company's trainee program. This program usually consists of a
career boost where the trainee gets to try out a bunch of different roles with full pay at that
company. The duration of a trainee position is usually in the range of between 6-18 months, and
often combined with international possibilities.
What is a contact talk?
A selected number of students will be matchmaked for 1 on 1 conversations with company
representatives!

A game jam is being held next weekend:
Welcome to participate in a game jam during Culture Night where we build games inspired by historical images, text and film around Avenyn and Götaplatsen . The jam is organized by Higab , RISE and the University of Gothenburg and takes place in the Glashuset in the center of Gothenburg during Culture Night and the associated weekend. As this coincides with the last weekend in October, we also bring in the autumnal atmosphere and invite ghost stories and dark omens.
During the jam, we will have access to a series of archive tools to be more easily inspired by the history of the places, these are the same as those used during previous game jams, Tidernas Gothenburg 2021 and 2022 .
Non-Swedish participants are very welcome, organizers can speak English!

HelgIT is a jam packed event which will we taking place during the 18th-19th of May, spring 2024. This is the first and possibly last time HelgIT will happen, so don't miss out.
We will be going to Isaberg in Småland, a place filled with all sorts of activities. You can go climbing in the tree tops, rodel, minigolf, obstacle courses, bathing in the lake, playround, MTB, sauna, sleep over in cabins, dinner together and in general a lot of time to hang out with your fellow IT students.
There will be something there for everyone, from the most active IT students to those who haven't been to any events before. Whether you like to drink or not. Whether you want to try each and every one of the activities or just stay on the beach the entire day.
The interest form will be open until the next division meeting (in December)!
Ticket release and final sign up will happen closer to the beginning of 2024.

Next week, 12/10 at 17:30 in Hubben, EqualIT will host a hangout for women and nonbinary people! There will be some activities, we will treat you to some food, but mainly it will be a chance for you to hang out with some other people in the division who identify as woman or nonbinary. Either if you have been in the division for a long time, or are new, you are just as welcome!
