Anyways, after another heavy study period all of us will finally have the time to do everything we have wanted to do all those long study-days, i.e. dance, drink and to live in general euphoria and happiness! DrawIT's first event of the year will be a Magic pre-release in its usual fashion. Featuring the closing set of the Ixalan block before we cash in our pirate ships for dimension hopping sky boats and head for older places. In contrast to the dreary weather of Gothenburg, we will be able to experience, at least in picture, a verdant flora - with dinosaurs as an added bonus!
The pre-release is an excellent opportunity to play Magic, regardless of experience, since you'll be given cards to tinker with on the spot.

We would also like to remind you to nominate your teachers and assistants for the Pedagogical Prize! It is an honourable prize awarded to someone who has made a large pedagogical contribution, and the prize will be awarded during a glamorous dinner party in February. Remember that you may also nominate teachers/assistants you had in study period 3 and 4, and the registration form will close during the end of study period 2!

Tuesday the 12th December digIT arranges a workshop where you can fine tune your solutions, discuss approaches or just learn about advent of code.
For those of you who haven't heard about advent of code before it's a set of programming problems released daily during december. The nature of the problems is such that a beginner can solve them and learn a great deal while the more experienced programmers can compete on the leaderboard with their solutions. Although many programmers use advent of code as a way of diving into a new programming language or sharpen their skills with a language they haven't used in a while.

Through 7 years of development, the essence of Magic has been distilled into... something, where we guarantee you'll have to high-five at least half of the attendees. DrawIT will be hosting its draft next friday (8th December) in, probably, EL40 at 18:00. The fee will be about 100 SEK, but may wary depending on attendance. We will not be serving food, but the regular assortment of snacks and drinks will be available.
