Do you love League of Legends or Counter-Strike? We are thrilled to present this year's coolest gaming event for students. On September 29-30, the student championships (Student-SM) in League of Legends and Counter-Strike will be held at Inferno Online in Gothenburg. This is a part of the Academic Games, one of the largest sporting events of the year for all university students in Sweden, featuring 11 different sports competitions during the same weekend in Gothenburg. In addition to the sports, there will be a grand closing banquet and several other social events, all to create the best community of the year.

MEDIT is a mentorship program at Chalmers that runs from October 2023 to May 2024. It is for students who are in years 2-5 of electrical engineering, biomedical engineering or software engineering (300 credits). Students are matched with mentors who are working engineers, researchers or PhD students.
The mentorship consists of four joint meetings. There you, your mentor and everyone else who is part of MEDIT will meet together. Between meetings, you and your mentor can see each other as often as you like. The meetings can be physical, or you can meet digitally - it's all up to you and your mentor. It is important that you as a student take initiative and responsibility, so you get as much as possible out of the mentorship.
Seize the opportunity! By having a mentor, you can gain insights into what it's like to work as an engineer, what the labor market in different sectors looks like and tips for getting your first job. Or why not get guidance on what it's like to do a PhD?

From July 20th to July 23rd, Team Infinity is organizing a free event with a focus on AI for students. Students from all over Sweden will gather for a weekend to create simple computer games. Team Infinity aims to promote engineering through creative and fun game development. In our game jam, we will allow participants to use AI bots, such as ChatGPT, to assist in programming the games. This is done to lower the threshold and enable all types of engineering students to participate.
How does the weekend unfold?
The event will take place at a venue on the Chalmers campus in Gothenburg, Sweden, where there will also be sleeping facilities available. The competition will run from Friday to Sunday, with check-in on Thursday evening. We will provide drinks and snacks, and together, we will have a really fun weekend!

Chalmers Padel Club will organize the CM in Padel! The championship will take place on Friday, May 19 and is scheduled to take place between 8:30 - 15:00 at Every Padel Göteborg in Mölndal (Åby arenaväg).
Each team consists of 2 players. Both participants must study at Chalmers, but it is not necessary that both come from the same section. The setup will include a group play phase followed by A and B playoffs, ensuring that everyone gets to play at least four games! More details on the game format and other useful information will be provided later.
Registration goes directly to Chalmers Padelklubb so to get paid you must show that you have paid the cost of the team. We in frITid will cover the cost of each person from IT who chooses to compete, so if the team is entirely from IT we will pay for the whole team, or if it is only one we will pay half the price.
If you are alone but feel that you want to play, you can contact us and we can try to match teams that can play together. Feel free to contact us if you sign up so we know who to cheer for :).
