Finally it's time for a game jam with digIT and 8-bit! We start at 10:01 in hubben on Saturday (December 3rd) and we will then release the theme and you can register your teams, up to four people. Hubben will be staffed 10:00-22:00 on Saturday and 10:00-19:00 on Sunday when we close the competition and the last commit must be made. Candy and soda will be available for purchase and if you need a break you can use the switch in cetac. Of course, you don't have to be in hubben during all hours.
As a judge, we have our very own PA, Staffan Björk. He will judge the games and announce the winner of the jam at Monday's student division meeting, where everyone in the winning team will each receive an Xbox controller.
Are you a washed tennis player? Or maybe a middle manager? Even if none of these apply to you, you are very welcome to take part in padel with frITid this friday!

It will cost 30 kr for each person, information about payment will be released if you get a spot. If you need to rent a racket you will need to pay for that as well, but frITid can handle the renting.
We recommend being there 10 min before, to be told where you are gonna play etc. The closest bus stop is Åby arenastad and bus 735 goes the entire way from Chalmers bus stop.

Right after floorball CM, it's time for CM in indoor orienteering! This is the first time this CM is being staged and will be a truly unique experience for all involved.
Indoor orienteering is a new type of orienteering that has become quite popular in recent years, where you run indoors instead of in the woods (maybe you could figure it out from the name). This year the competition takes place in the SB house, where you will get to run around in SB1, SB2 and SB3. To make things trickier, certain passages in the house will be closed off, so if you've been there before, you might have to figure out a whole new way to your favorite group room. So if you want to challenge your problem-solving skills, don't hesitate to sign up for this unique event.
There will be both an individual and section competition. Where you run by yourself and the best times are combined from each section to bring out the section that is the best at indoor orienteering, so round up all your friends for IT to win!

Here is a small reminder about our photo workshop in Härryda the1 Dec (if you missed our first post).
This will be a long exposure and light painting photo workshop where you learn to draw with light and explore how you can play with a camera to create photos that look edited! In addition to this, food and other activities will be offered, so take the opportunity to sign up!!

FlashIT will unfortunately not be responsible for the transport out to Härryda (but there are regular busses that travel to the destination). The event is expected to last until 23:00 , but it is possible to go earlier if that were the case.

frITid really misses the warm weather and sand between our toes like we had it this summer. Unfortunately we can’t change the weather, but we can try to replicate it. Therefore we will travel to Kviberg and play beach volleyball this friday!
We’ve booked a court from 16:30 to 17:30 and we will bring 20 people, så make sure to register! The form will be released Tuesday by lunch and be closed by lunch on Wednesday. frITid will take tram number 7 from Chalmers to Kviberg that departs 15:47. For the third year in a row, FOI organizes the cyber security competition Crate-CTF, where clever tasks lead you to hidden flags. Compete individually or gather your friends to solve the tasks together - if you are interested in cyber security, we dare to guarantee that you will have a fun afternoon.
A CTF (Capture the Flag) is a competitive exercise format where participants are given tasks in cyber security and management of IT systems to be solved within a certain time. In Crate-CTF we challenge both beginners and advanced competitors. The data is divided into the categories Exploitation, Cryptography, Reversal, Forensics and Web. You compete individually or in a group. All that is needed is a computer with an internet connection - and a good dose of ingenuity and problem-solving skills. Can you find all the flags? Challenge yourself, your friends or other sections and universities!

November 19th is International Men’s Day. M-Likhet, JämZ, EqualIT and JämTD want to raise awareness to this by arranging a lunch lecture together with the organization MÄN on November 17th. During the lecture, MEN will talk about what expectations and ideas we have around men. They will also discuss what problems and obstacles these cause and how we can create change.
The first 200 people will be offered an Express lunch with beverage!
MÄN is a non-profit association with the vision of an equal world without violence. They work for gender equality and try to change destructive masculinity norms to reduce violence. They do this by creating safe zones with programs and projects, but they can also work on site at workplaces with different types of meetings and lectures just like this one.
