The student union is currently looking for two persons for Chalmers Employment Committe! The committe handles the employment and promotion of academical services on Chalmers (university lecturers, associate professors, professors, ...). As a student representative in the employment committe you get to be part of the whole recruitmentprocess, from announcement of the appointment to interview and employment. The assignment is renumerated for the hours of work you put in and amounts to approximately 1-2 whole day meetings on a Wednesday with preparation time before.

On Thursday the February 9th 2023, the Swedish Defence University and the National Cyber ​​Security Center are organizing a policy-oriented cyber security competition for students - Cyber ​​Challenge 2023. The competition aims to increase understanding of cyber attacks and the challenges cyber attacks pose for governments, authorities and citizens. The competition also forms a platform for future recruitment for both the private and public sector.

The sustainability week Act Sustainable is a joint initiative by Chalmers University of Technology and the University of Gothenburg, aiming to inspire students, researchers, teachers and staff to contribute to sustainable development. This year's week – which will be on Studenternas Hus – takes place on 14-18 November and offers lectures and workshops within a wide range of topics and academic fields. The yearly DatE-IT fair is set on the 17th of November and we need you as a Student host!
There are three different types of student hosts and in the registration form you get to have an opinion about your preferred host type.

As a company host you will have contact with 2-4 companies before the fair and be available during the entire fair.
As a logistics host you will help with preparation and cleanup of the fair and will work at least a total of 6 hours either the day before or the day after.
As a social host you will work during the fair in either wardrobe, infodesk, lounge or patrol the fair area.
Why should I help DatE-IT with the fair?

As a student host you get to attend the DatE-IT Banquet and also make connections with companies and other students. Also it’s really fun!

Wondering what your life could look like a year after graduation? Come and listen to Jakob Erlandsson talk about his first year as a consultant at Cygni!

Jakob graduated from the IT program at Chalmers in the spring of 2021 and has since worked as a developer at Cygni. But what does it actually mean to work as a developer, what does a consultant even do? What does a normal day look like and what is the biggest difference to studying? On October 13, Jakob will share his experiences, thoughts and experiences from his journey at Chalmers and his time at Cygni. You will get an insight into what it can be like to work as a programmer, maybe get some tips for working life and of course the chance to ask questions!

Tuesday the 18th of October E-sport will be arranging Chalmers championship in ping pong, and of course we want people to represent our turquoise colors.

frITid are able to register a few people, but it has a restricted amount of sports and it is the first who register that will get the spots. E-sport are saying that they are prioritizing so that there will be 3 persons competing for each section if possible.

If you want to register without frITid, that will also be possible, but it will cost you 75kr, which frITid will pay for those who register through us. If you don't have a racket you can either borrow one from us (just give us a heads up before so we can help you) or you can rent one there.

The championship will be held 18 October, 10.00-14.00 at Aktiviteten in Mölndal
