Admission will soon open to be part of the Swedish team for ECSC, a cyber security competition in Europe that is held every year. Below is information from the Swedish admission from our friends at KTH.

Time to hack for Sweden. The selection of the very first Swedish national team for the European Cybersecurity Challenge takes place this year!

ECSC (https://ecsc.eu/) is a cybersecurity competition hosted by ENISA. The different European teams will compete in Vienna in September to decide the very best at cybersecurity.

The first qualifying step for the seniors’ team (age 19-25) will take place on April 30th through the openECSC platform. The top candidates from the qualification rounds will be selected for the bootcamp - five days of intense offensive and defensive training where you will spend time with some of Sweden’s best hackers and teachers. The bootcamp will be hosted outside Stockholm where travel food and accommodation is included.

On Monday 11/4 during the re-exam period Ericsson will hide 10 Easter eggs outside and around the EDIT-building to celebrate the hard work you do. Inside the eggs there are prices ranging from candy, laptop sleeves, thermoses, power banks and movie tickets - so don’t miss this opportunity! Take a break from your studies and go for a short Easter egg hunt around EDIT!

Ericsson Uniteam will be located at Campus during 15-17 for you to collect your prices if you have found any of the eggs! However, you can go look for the eggs Monday anytime after 10.00! The specific location we will be standing at will be posted here later.

This Friday it's finally time t play some wine volley!
Just as you might think, we are gonna play some volleyball and drink some wine.
If you don't want wine it's totally fine to drink any other drink of you're choice.
You're beverage does not need to contain alcohol, unless you want it to.
After the game those who want to can go swiming and hang out in the sauna.

The IT Student Division Equality Survey 2022 is now released! The survey is made by EqualIT, the equality committee of the division. It aims to examine the equality situation in the section. As thanks for your participation, we are raffling off 10 gift cards at Store at SEK 200 /pc among the respondents.

The answers will be used to plan the future work of EqualIT. The questions deal with your experience of the premises, group work and group dynamics, assessment, scheduling and student division events.

The survey concerns your experience at the Software Engineering (IT) student division and in the studies at the programme. It takes about 20 minutes to complete. We would be very grateful if you could spend that time. Your participation really helps us with our future work.

Den 8:e april bjuder Cygni på en utmaning. Kan du och dina vänner hitta de påskägg som den busiga konsultchefen Tess har gömt i Deltaparken?

I påskäggen finns både färdkost och ledtrådar som kommer leda er ut på en kort vandring genom Göteborg.
Under denna vandring kommer ni stöta på ett antal Cygnianer som behöver er hjälp med att lösa diverse kluriga problem.

Som tack för er hjälp kommer det vid vandringens slut att erbjudas skatter i form av ett påskbord (veganskt alternativ finns!), dryck och kanske ett pris till den som varit extra duktig!
Så, ta en paus den 8:e april och umgås en stund med vårt glada gäng!

Important to know is that you do not have to go to an interview to be elected. You can always nominate yourself at the student division meeting, even if you don't get nominated by the election committee! If you are interested in being either chairman or treasurer you do however either have to go to an interview or tell the election committee before the student division meeting that you are interested in being chairman or treasurer.

Here you can hold the student division meeting yourself in a fun mini-format. Food will be served.

7/4 18.00, M1211, Aspiration-boardmeeting
We have an evening meeting once a week where we make decisions and discuss our work. Here you get the chance to take part in one of our meeting and get to share your opinion.

20/4, 18.00, Härryda, Sauna
We will go to Härryda together with all other kommittées who have aspirations at the same time. In addition to the sauna, you will get to meet tons of new people and discuss what the software engineering student division does. You may even stay the night over, food will be served!

21/4, Casenight
An evening where you and us may discuss some cases and other excercises. The goal is to give you a change to reflect on the work styrIT does and your eventual role in the board.

27/4, Workshop for the student division meeting
It’s through the student division meeting greater changes to the division can be made. This evening, we’ll help each other write motions to make the divison a better place. We will have som proposals, but we encourage you to think about things you’d like to change!

On the latest student divison meeting there was an election for the DatE-IT committee. All spots were not filled, which means you all get a new opportunity to apply!
DatE-IT is a collaboration between three student division(D, E, IT) and is a labor fair taking place during the autumn. The DatE-IT committee makes sure the fair takes place, and is as good as possible! A lot of the work regards to contact with company, making it a great opportunity to build your network for a summer internship or a 'proper' job after your exam.
The committee should consist of 9 people, and there is currently 5 spots filled(2 from E, 2 D, 1 IT). There is room for more IT representation! If you are interested or have any other questions, don't hesitate to contact us at styrit@chalmers.it. You may also apply via this form.
