Language

The primary language of the IT student division is Swedish, and as such the student division meeting and relevant documents will primarily be in Swedish as well. If you have any questions, feel free to send them our way at styrit@chalmers.it.

The student division meeting will be held on Sunday the 15th of May 13:00 in HC4.

Meeting guidelines

We in styrIT, as well as the speaker for the student division meeting, will try to be as pedagogical as possible about what is happening during the meeting. However, it could be that we miss something, and in the end it is the responsibility of each student division member to know how a meeting works.

The rules of a student division meeting can be found in the link, from page five and forward. If something is unclear just ask away, and we will do our best to answer.

Write motions!

Do you think something about the student division should change? Write a motion about it and present it at the meeting. Motions need to be sent to styrIT (styrit@chalmers.it) seven study days before the meeting at the very latest (2022-05-05). If you want help with wording or just have any questions, feel free to contact styrIT at styrit@chalmers.it.

About the job:
We are looking for a developer / programmer who wants to be involved in creating the platform of the future for digital education in the healthcare and pharmaceutical industry. Our team is located in central Gothenburg.

About us:
Medify was founded in 2017 by two doctors who during their AT were responsible for
training at each health center. They thought that the actual administration of continuing education meetings was burdensome. An idea to make the process easier and digital was born, the result was Medify.

Today, Medify is a platform where healthcare providers can plan and book education meetings with educators who wish to lecture for healthcare. Medify is used in health centers throughout Sweden. Your profile:
To thrive and succeed in this role, we believe you need to possess the following experience and knowledge:

Backend
• AWS Lamda function using Zappa Python Framework. (Dev / staging / production) Tech: Django, Python, GraphpQL (graphene), Django Rest Framework

• DB: Postgres on AWS RDS (dev / staging / production)

Frontend
• AWS Cloudfront / S3 Bucket. (dev / staging / production) Tech: React, Apollo Graphql, Redux, Redux Saga, Material UI

You have:
• Ability to take full responsibility for projects and know how to get things done.

• An interest in doing good, especially when it comes to topics related to healthcare.
• University degree in computer science, technology or equivalent.

You need to be prepared to work within in all areas, even if it is possible to focus on certain parts. We are a small team and you will get to look at everything from database to web interface, system architecture and operation of the systems etc.

Voting for your representative is the most important part of the Student Unions democratic system. Make sure that the Student Union works towards your interests by carefully electing people who will make educated decisions that reflect your views.

The Student Union council, often abbreviated FuM, is Chalmers Student Union’s highest governing body. FuM consists of 35 student representatives who are elected amongst and by the unions 11 000 members to be the voice of the student unions members. The members decide about the annual budget for the union, strategic matters, constitution, policies and who eventually will lead the daily operations.

FikIT

Laggit toghether with SCL holds this years SCL League of Legends tournament SCLLOL22. The tournament will be played the 22-25/4 and the 6-7/5 and you participate digitally. Any skill level can participate, the most important thing is to have fun. Gather together a group of friends and join, it will be fun! The registration closes soon so register soon!

It is soon time for the annual meeting for 8-bIT and it will be physical instead of remote. We will be in Hubben and aim to begin the meeting at 17:31.

On the meeting we will present the operations for the current year, plan for the next year and elect a new board! We will also discuss motions that have been sent to us. If you have a motion we can be reached at 8-bit@chalmers.it. Remember that the last day to send motions is 1/5, the day before the meeting.
