One of the focus areas in styrITs operational plan is to increase the transparency of the student division. One of the things that we plan to do to achieve this is to start publishing new student union board meeting minutes, in addition to chalmers.it, in the Slack channel #styrit on the cthit Slack workspace. We are now opening our popular summer internship program for 2022. The program is open to students enrolled in a computer science program at one of the universities in Gothenburg.
Opera is building a new gaming platform that will reach our millions of daily browser users. Together with our sister company Yoyo Games and our gaming browser team (Opera GX) we bring user generated multiplayer games to the masses straight in the browser through cutting edge technology.
This is an opportunity to join one of our teams; front-end (TypeScript), backend (Java), multiplayer (C++), dev-ops (AWS) in Gothenburg for an exciting summer to build the next big thing. Our office has a unicorn track-record and we have our aim set high for 2022. • All Swedish and EU/EEA passes are valid for entry.
• It is each and everyone’s own responsibility to obtain the latest information from authorities
and ensure bringing the correct, valid, and readable covid pass accordingly. Note! Medical
certificate stating exemption from vaccination are also valid. Certificate must contain data to
match ID at entry.
• Chalmers student union may deny entry to anyone who are not holding a valid, readable pass.
• Chalmers student union follow authorities’ directions but will always inform when Covid
passes are required (but not the opposite).
• Chalmers student union cannot be held responsible for denying entry to someone failing to
provide correct and valid covid pass/medical certificate.
Q&A
Which Chalmers event will require covid pass?
All indoor, public events with over 100 participants. Each event will aim to clearly state if covid
passes are required, but it is your own responsibility to find the correct information prior to event.
What counts as a valid Covid pass?
Paper or digital certificate with scannable QR-code. If code is not scannable or other data is illegible,
you may be denied entry.
Which covid passes are valid?
Swedish and EU-issued passes. For other countries, it is your own responsibility to check if your pass
is valid for events entry in Sweden.
If I cannot get vaccinated due to medical reasons?
Then you can bring a valid medical certificate stating this clearly. Certificate must be matchable with
your ID. If staff at entry cannot clearly determine the certificate, you may be denied entry.
No other certificate is accepted (such as negative test results etc.).

Next week is SW7 and it's time for 8-bIT to host a game night! We will be arranging a tournament in Rhythm Heaven and our usual games will be there. There will also be toasts for a cheap sum and snacks.
The end of the study period, and Christmas, is approaching and that means it's time for code and glögg with digIT! On Friday, December 17th we will serve (non-alcoholic) glögg for the ultimate Christmas feeling. During the evening you will be able to get help, or help us, with code problems, in addition to glögg and the good time, that is.

Admission to the talent program also means that your are employed at Valtech and have a salary from day one. By attending the program, you build a solid foundation that creates a natural bridge between studies and working life. If you have yet to do your thesis, you are welcome to do it with us. We help you find interesting areas, formulate questions and provide you with a supervisor.
The talent program is located in our office in Stockholm, is 3 months (13 weeks) long and consists of training combined with project work. During the training, you go from lab assignments to code that is "for real". You also have time to go through all the phases of a project before it is time to meet your first client, at the same time as you are employed and have full pay.
Again, the spring program starts on February 7th. We have a limited number of open positions and conduct interviews on an ongoing basis. Apply now so you don't see your place go to someone else!

In December, something wonderful happens, it will be Advent of Code! AoC is an advent calendar with one, two part, programming problem for each day until Christmas Day. It's a perfect opportunity to train your programming- and problem-solving skills!
digIT will hold an introduction to AoC at 17:01 on Tuesday, November 30th in the Hubben for everyone to get properly prepared! Everyone is welcome, beginners will be introduced and can try out old problems, and veterans are more than welcome to be merry and share tips.
AoC is also a competition, in solving the problems the fastest, and we like that! digIT will therefore keep our own leaderboard, with a few extra categories. You don't want to miss this! More info about the leaderboard will come on Tuesday, and elsewhere.
