The meeting approved all propositions with some changes but no the motion about a temporary increase in profiling budget for digIT.

Revision

The internal revision looked good, and digIT19/20 were responsibility exempt.

Due to the meeting format, no breakdown of the time spent on the meeting will be presented for this meeting.

Tuesday 19/5 (tomorrow) 12:00-14:00 there will be a cleaning company in Hubben together with P.R.I.T.. We will test how much cleaner a sofa can get with their cleaning methods to evaluate if it is worth doing for all of the sofas. The study room is open for everyone but there might be noise which disrupts your studies. Sorry for the late notice.

Just because Covid-19 prevents us from holding game nights does not mean that board gaming should end! You may be at home, maybe even alone, and in those cases you should explore the world of Print n' Play for one player.

Hello friends! Now it is finally time for another sexIT-arr on May 15th, which we have all have longed for! We will offer a nice time with kubb, pong and good music at the sandbox outside of Hubben and we in sexIT will do everything so Corona-friendly as we can. Please stay home if you are sick! Since the event is outdoors it depends on the weather but we are hoping for sun. It's a byob-event!

The software engineering program(IT) has recently introduced a new account service called Gamma. If you already have an account with IT all you need to do is log in as usual and reset your password. If you do not yet have an account you can create a new . this is done at gamma.chalmers.it. An account is necessary to take part in the student division meeting starting Monday. The meeting will be held on VoteIT and more information about this can be found here.

Any problems, questions and feedback about Gamma can be given to digit at digit@chalmers.it or #digit in the slack!

With regards to (goverments/chalmers/styrIT) recomendations, this get-together will take place on IT's discord server the 15 May from 17-23.
If quarentine is starting to make you mad, drop in! Find answers to docker problems, bragg about your latest project, or rant about how box wine's taste is supperior.
But feel free to rant about other none alcoholic drinks too!

Here are the nominations for styrIT, frITid, snIT and FanbärerIT for the student union meeting SP4: Nominations SP4

Now the time has come for LaggIT games-weekend!

The event will go on for the entire weekend and will involve a diverse selection of games being played at different times during the weekend. The event is not only for LaggIT aspar, so feel free to show up if you feel interested!

Friday 18:00 we will play Jackbox.
Saturday 14:00 we will start a game of Europe Universalis 4.
Saturday from 17:00 we will start playing CS:GO in house, which means that we will create teams from the people that show up and let them play against each other.
Sunday from 15:00 we will be playing Valorant.

Everyone who wants to play show up in the LaggIT discord before the advertised times. CS and maybe also Valorant and Jackbox (depending on the amount of interest) will have more than one round so it is okay to show up later in the evening. To play all games except Jackbox you will need a copy of the game.

EdTech startup looking for junior developer

Teachiq AB is the owner and developer of Exam.net, a tool for conducting digital exams in a simple and secure way. Currently, more than 1500 schools in Sweden use Exam.net, and general interest in the product is continuously growing - not least in countries outside of Sweden. The business is profitable and has evolved without any external financing, enabling us to grow organically and in the direction of our own choice. Now, we would like a junior developer to join us on our journey!

As of now, we have two office locations, one in Stockholm and one in central Gothenburg. This particular position would be an addition to the Gothenburg team, and the person we are looking for is an ambitious communicator with software development skills, eager to work with technical support, testing and software development - both front end and back end. We are a small team with simple decision making procedures and the possibility of adjusting the development work according to the strengths of the team members and the future product requirements.

Some of the technologies that we currently work with are JavaScript, HTML/CSS, Vue.js, PHP, Laravel, Node.js, Docker, Nginx, SQLServer and Firebase, and if you are familiar with some of those it might just be you that we are looking for. You will be given the chance to learn what you do not already know, and there are great opportunities for you to affect the choice of future technologies and to bring your own competencies into the development work.

In the team, we all contribute to taking care of incoming support questions on emaiI and to some extent also on the phone. During intense periods, a great deal of your working hours will be spent handling support matters and assisting our users from all parts of the world. On more quiet days, supporting users will take up less of your time. Overall, it is vital that you enjoy helping our users in an efficient, friendly and solution oriented way. Since most of the support is handled by email, it is also important that you are able communicate with a friendly and correct tone, preferably both in Swedish and in English, orally as well as in writing (and being able to communicate in Spanish is a plus).

You would be working at our office in central Gothenburg, but after an initial training period it would also be possible to work from home to some extent. To match the current team, you are prestigeless and self-driven. You are a curious nature, and finding solutions when you encounter problems comes naturally for you.
We are looking for someone who can take on a full time job, but if you are the right person for our team, the position could start out as a part time job, that eventually evolves into a full time employment. You have probably just finished your university studies, but you could also be doing your very last courses or have had a couple of years of working experience.

The interview registration can be found can be found here and the interview takes place via Zoom!

Important to know is that you do not need to go to an interview to get elected. You can always nominate yourself at the section meeting, even if you are not nominated by Valberedningen! If, however, you are interested in applying for a position with responsibility (president or treasurer), you either need to go to an interview or inform us in Valberedningen that you are interested before the section meeting.

This evaluation is in Swedish since most of the arrangements and festivities on Johanneberg are in Swedish.

Utvärdering

As you probably understand, this division meeting will be a little different and will be conducted remotely. Furthermore, since large conference calls often do not work well for discussion, we will change the division meeting's layout somewhat. We have also been in contact with the union management team who are positive about changing the format of the meeting to make it work as well as possible remotely.

The meeting will be open for several days (Monday to Thursday SV6) and will largely be conducted on the VoteIT platform: https://www.voteit.se/

• Monday: Meeting formalities are dealt with as agenda-setting and adjuster selection.
• Tuesday: the meeting is open for proposals (requests & nominations)
• Wednesday: discussion only, no new proposals.
• Thursday: voting on all proposals and agenda items

To a large extent, the meeting will take place via a web portal where you can log in to vote, submit proposals or discuss anytime during the day.

On Thursday evening we will also have a video call where we jointly go through all the points, close the polls, look at the results and congratulate the elected.

The fact that the meeting starts on Monday has some impact on our deadlines set by the statues:

Greetings all IT-students! It is now time to sign up for this year's Phaddring! If you want to welcome the new IT-students (Nollan) to Chalmers and it's fantastic IT-student division then now is your chance. The sign-up will be open until we close it, which will be sometime mid-May. We will be releasing more information about what being a phadder is like in the near future.
