Soon the first aspiration of the year will start, so here comes some information about what aspiration at Chalmers works. All committees and societies at Chalmers have so-called “aspiration” where you as a Chalmers student may try out what the committee or society is doing, in order to find new members. During the aspiration period, you will have TONS of fun and get to know lots of new people.

You as a student who want to apply for a committee at the Software Engineering Student Division (IT) may nominate yourself at the student division meeting in study week 6, or get nominated by us in the election committee. If you have any questions, please contact us via Slack(#valberedningen) or via e-mail (valberedningen@chalmers.it).

The student union has a free position as a representative in the group for change for Gothenburg's center for sustainable development, GMV, that works with looking over how the cooperative work between Chalmers and GU should function in the future. There will be three 1 hour meetings during this autumn where you'll be able to meet and discuss different questions about the work.

Below is a short text about the work from the current student representative:

"Keeping it short the work is about reorganization of Gothenburg's center for sustainable development (GMV), which is a joint organization between Chalmers and GU. This in both purpose, responsibility and form. During the spring has the management team discussed ideas about how this new organization will look and how the cooperation between the universities and other actors in the area will work. I think personally that it's been incredibly interesting to be get a look in to how this kind of work is done, and that it's been a favor to be in the same management team as several competent and inspiring people from both of the universities.
By the turn of the year the new organization/platform will start, and the goal with the autumns meetings is to be involved and discuss the agreement that will apply between the universities, and be of support in decisions to the project leader (Pam Fredman). I would also like to emphasize that this is a great opportunity to not only influence and get insight into such a big reorganization, and a very good opportunity to learn and get inspired by competent and committed people"

Alla program tillhör ett av fyra olika utbildningsområden. Inom varje utbildningsområde hålls möten som ska samordna programmen inom varje utbildningsområden samt de institutioner som är berörda av programmen. Mötena skiljer sig lite åt men behandlar både strategiska och praktiska frågor. På dessa möten deltar bland annat utbildningsområdesledare och programansvariga.

Do you want to be involved with Camp Vera 2023?

Camp Vera is a weekend where we invite 100 high school girls to inspire and arouse interest in technology. During the weekend, the girls get to try out different workshops, attend inspiring lectures and experience Chalmers life, as well as lots of other fun!

Right now we are 6 excited girls who work with this and are now looking for additions to the group. Do you feel that you want an extra job outside of studies and want to work with something rewarding, where you are also paid? Are you also a girl or non-binary who studies Data, IT, Automation and Mechatronics, Electrical or Medical Technology and thinks it sounds like something for you?
